Recommended settings for live streaming

Before starting the broadcast, check the recommended settings needed for a stable stream and prepare according to your streaming environment

The settings provided here are just examples. Depending on your internet connection, broadcasting software, and equipment, the actual required settings may differ. Please adjust your encoder settings according to your environment.

It is recommended to test your internet connection speed beforehand. During the test, please ensure you check the bitrate during the upload and proceed to the actual broadcasting after confirming.

Recommended video values

Resolution 1920×1080
Bitrate 2,500~5,000kbps Aim for around 5,000Kbps for server output
Frame rate 30fps
scanning method Progressive

Even within the recommended values, depending on the environment, there may be issues like choppy video or audio dropouts. If that happens, try reducing the bitrate to lessen the load. Any output exceeding the above values will be automatically converted on the server, so avoid excessive data output.

Recommended audio values

Channels 2ch (Stereo)
Bitrate 192~356kbps When using +HD audio, a minimum of 256kbps and a recommended 320kbps setting is required
Sample rate 48kHz

The maximum value that can be set may vary depending on the broadcasting encoder you use. Please check your device/application.

Recommended internet speed

Upload speed of 50Mbps or more (Fiber-optic connection and wired connection recommended)

The required communication speed will vary depending on the broadcast settings.

Regarding equipment

  • Ensure that the computer you are using for broadcasting meets the recommended specifications for broadcasting software like OBS, and for the encoder.
    • Recommended environment: 16GB of memory or more, with a graphics card recommended. The necessary specs may differ based on the content of the broadcast.
  • As a precaution, always save a backup or recorded version of your live broadcast. Please note that recording with a broadcast encoder can increase equipment load and hinder restarts during issues, so recording on a separate device is highly recommended.
  • Before setting up your environment, it's strongly advised to restart devices like computers for CPU cooling and memory refreshing.
