Rental videos offer a cost-effective way to monetize your evergreen content year-round. With one upload, you can generate revenue on demand. This guide will walk you through creating a rental, uploading your videos, and managing subtitles.
1. Creating a Rental Video
-
Access the Rental Feature
- Navigate to the Video Rentals option in your menu.
- Click on Create Rental.
-
Enter Rental Details
- Title: Provide a clear title (e.g., “Doraemon – Season 1” or “7 Samurai”).
- Description: Write a brief description to help promote and sell your content.
- Cover Image: Upload an image to visually promote your rental.
- Price: Set the rental price (please note that we take a 30% commission).
- Rental Duration: Choose a duration for how long the user can access the video after their first view (we recommend 7 days).
-
Finalize Rental Setup
- Review your details and click Save to create your rental.
2. Uploading Video Files
-
Add Videos to Your Rental
- Click Add Video.
- Enter a title for the video file.
- Upload the video file according to the following recommended specifications:
- File Format: MP4 or MOV
- Resolution: 1080p
- Video Bitrate: 5 Mbps or higher
- Audio Bitrate: 192 Kbps or higher
- Frame Rate: 30 FPS
-
Save and Process
- After uploading, click Save.
- Your video will begin processing. The processing time depends on the video’s length and file size.
Note: You may add multiple videos to a single rental. However, the rental price applies to all videos within that rental. If you want to rent individual episodes (instead of a season pass), you will need to create a separate rental for each episode.
3. Managing Subtitles
-
Access Subtitle Settings
- Once a video is processed, click Edit on the video.
- Navigate to the Subtitles section.
-
Add Subtitles
- Click Add Subtitle.
- Select Languages:
- Choose the current language of the video.
- Select the target language for your subtitles.
- Choose Your Method:
- Generate Automatically: Use our AI-powered tool to generate subtitles.
- Upload File: Manually upload your own VTT subtitle file.
- If you opt for AI generation, wait for the process to complete, then toggle Publish to make the subtitles available.
-
Editing Subtitles
- You can download generated subtitle files to review and update them manually if needed.
4. Final Steps
- Review: Double-check all the rental details, video uploads, and subtitle settings.
- Publish: Your rental video is now live on your profile and available for rent on demand.
